As Policy Lead at Hot or Cool, Magnus oversees the institute’s engagement, analysis, and advisory services related to public policy. He has over twenty years of experience as a policy researcher and consultant advising international organisations and governments on sustainable consumption and production and circular economy. Magnus is also a lecturer at Toyo University in Tokyo, where he is based, and a sustainability advisor to Japanese corporations. In addition to a PhD in Environmental Systems Analysis from Chalmers University of Technology in his native Sweden, Magnus also holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management, and in History. Working at Hot or Cool allows him to apply his wide-ranging experience in exciting projects with inspiring partners. It also provides ample opportunities to pursue his interest in applying multidisciplinary theoretical insight to complex sustainability challenges.
